ApoA1 in Serum

ApoA1 more closely reflects the amount of HDL particles present than HDL-C, which measures cholesterol cargo. It is also a negative acute-phase reactant (inflammation lowers it).

Paired with ApoB as the ApoB/ApoA1 ratio, it weighs atherogenic particle burden against protective HDL particles, often tracking cardiovascular risk better than either marker alone.

Apolipoprotein A-1
